Clay Monotype is a printmaking technique using liquid clay slip that wasdeveloped by artist, Mitch Lyons, over 20 years ago.
The clay slip is colored with pure pigments and applied to a leather hard clay slab using various direct painting and transfer methods.
When the image looks complete, it is transferred to a non-woven fabric substrate with a wooden roller.  Myabstract compositions are
intuitive, drawing from conscious and unconscious imagery about important subjectsinfluencing my life, including current
global issues.   Clay Monotype is archival/light safe and one of a kind.
