This process gives me a chance to explore more of my internal life through subject matter, line & color.
Oil inks are painted or rolled on a plexiglass plate, manipulated with tools and then transferred to paper
with the use of an etching press.  Some variations include Chine Colle', where rice paper is added with
the ink & linoleum cut plates.  Each print is one of a kind.

THE ETCHING PRESS

When a plate is ready to
print, it is sandwiched
between felt blankets,
newsprint & the printing
paper.  The etching press
rolls over all the layers
with a large amount of
pressure & transfers the
print to the paper.
